I'm having an issue with my new no name ebike and I know exactly when it happened if someone could help me narrow it down. I was coming into my building on the ground floor the door is kind of on almost an embankment as I was opening the door the bike was rolling backwards with me and I twisted the throttle and goosed it a little bit to get on up through the door because the doors are secure and you have to have a fob to open them so I open the door out me as I opened it I rolled backwards I twisted the throttle to go forward through the door. I heard a noise that now I can't really describe. Now I have a error 7.
I have a 16 inch fat tire ouxi v6?
Originally the Amazon ad said Qmwheels. My purchase history now shows a different bike altogether now. This is my main source of transportations.

Hitting the steps might have jolted a connector, so if any wiring is exposed and you can see connectors give them a wiggle and check tightly fitted. The motor cable for example. If the battery is removable then remove and refit and wiggle.

Check the throttle is definitely fully closed.

It looks like a bike from a scooter manufacturer so components may not be the same as most bikes.

Also 500W, so not legal in UK, and listed at $300 or so on aliexpress, so rock bottom cheap, so customer service unlikely to be good.

One has likely blown a motor hall or damaged a controller mosfet, however to know for sure one needs to find out the error code meaning for the ebike come moped as they differ from one to another.

I didnt actually make contact or hit anything more like rolled down a slight incline, but the bike is so heavy...and i am heavy. I had to goose it or fall over. The sound i heard was like a metal stretch??? if that makes. Not sure what you mean about the throttle being open. It still has tention, twist throttle btw. BUt it stopped right then and there and has had an error ever since.
We are really trying to learn and I did purchase a ebike tester and multimeter and if we are using it correctly the motor seems ok by the sequence of lights. The throttle also and battery.
From what I am reading it seems easier to just purchase a new controller and try that. Your were spot on about the customer service and the markings on motor and troller translated got me nowhere.
I paid over a grand for it. if I could really get it for $300 straight away I would take 2 today
How do you know if you haEBIKECONTROLLER2.jpgve hall sensors and mosfetts
I am posting pictures of the actual parts and markings.

I have reached out to the manufacturer and Amazon. We have tested the controller and moter after purchasing a tester and multimeter and followed along a utube video and cutting off all the connectors because none matched

'Metal stretch'? Could that have been the motor axle rotating in the dropouts, and chewing the cable?

I am sorry I'm not real familiar with the E bite jargon. Drop out? It looked like the metal was twisted in one of the photos we just looked we didn't touch

Where the motor axle sits in the frame. If it rotates in there, it will twist the cable, and the cable is likely to get damaged internally, which can short out wires, which breaks things.

Look at the cable sheath for signs of twisting.

The pics are a bit blurry, but I think yes, that looks like a chewed cable. The solution is not easy. The cable needs to be replaced, from inside the motor through the axle to the connector.

And then the reason why the axle rotated in the dropout needs solving, or it will just happen again.
