Tried 3 screens independently, nVidia became terminally confised. I've got three, one plugged into one port, and two more ona toggle switch connected to another port. Doesn't want to play any other way. I'll get around to removing all drivers are reinstalling at some point, as I only need two screens at any one time - the toggle between other two is ok, because one displays more colours than the other, which is useful for video rendering. About four times as fast rendering, temps are hovering stable about 62 degrees at full load for many hours, I don't think it needs heatsink compound replacing. Sometimes faster, depending on the type of rendering.

I've got a dead LG and Viewsonic to get around to attempt repairing, will do if it's just bad cap replacement, seems likely.

Oh I don't know, my £140 cheapo HanSpree 42" monitor has been on pretty much constantly for three years and it's still going strong. Still has a long way to beat the old DELL, HP etc. which all still work decades later. They make em to fail these days.

Try it in a warm room? One of my Viewsonics is streaky - but only until it warms up, and it only unseizes if I run it for awhile to warm up while streaky, then switch source (there is no other source), which causes it to switch back... and voila! It works perfectly. But it's progressive fsckage.
