Is it really noisy? Might need extra water in the system, check the water pressure guage. There's a tap underneath probably somewhere. Too high water pressure will trigger a shutdown or something, unless you bleed some water out of a radiator. On the older style rotary pressure guages, there's a marker on the dial indicating what water pressure should be. Could save you a callout, or could explode your house, your choice what will you do WHAT WILL YOU DO?!!??

oh well me gas boiler is trying to explode

afraid i don't have transformers, but i do have a cunning plan - most gas boilers have electric kettle type element as backup, and octopus offer an ev specific energy plan that charge 7.5p per kwh at night between 1230 and 630. switch energy plans and switch the boiler on a timer to electric at night rather than spending thousands on a new boiler or a heat pump (have colleague who has one and his energy bills are as high as with gas). its not glamorous, but ive done this and its saved quite a few quid during a cost of living crisis.
