Which ones are you going to install? They can be bloody bright, you wouldn't need camera flash to photograph your models.... but your precious models will be covered and their paint dissolved by oily airborne kitchen crud! Very bad idea storing them in your kitchen IMHO. Might be too late already if they've been there awhile - give the paint a hard wipe with a finger. Actually don't do that, the paint may have been softened and might wipe off.

Give it a few years of frying chips etc. and you'll see Even the very poweful gigantic kitchen extractor fan systems in commercial kitchens don't expel it all. The kitchen is the worst place in your home to store your models IMHO. Unless they were free and worth nothing at all...
