D8veh is absolutely so right-
I've been using Linux for over 10 years and it has matured into something anyone can use now. Windoze does an amazing job on any conceivable hardware combination, but it is just too vulnerable to malicious attacks. I simply refuse to join the Mac closed eco-ripoff-system when there is a great free alternative. Always put your o/s on a separate drive if possible, if not at least on a separate partition. Keep valuable data on a separate drive. Do a clone of the o/s drive and stick it in a cupboard, redo it every 3 months. Now that storage is so cheap per gb it's oh so easy.
