Prior to the Mary's I had been using Geoff's which were the most comfy bars I have used . They looked wider then they look, the loop made for loads of room for extra's as there was little room left once brakes etc were attched.
Swept bars are the way forward any comy riding style .

im thinking of geting one for my mountain bike is it a standard size
I think so, but check their range. There are various shapes, worth seeing which suits you best.

The Mary angle is spot on for me, but I still needed more height by changing the stem.

The reach from saddle to bars also varies a bit with handlebar width. A quick test is to do a press up into a plank with straight arms and shuffle your hands into the most comfortable spacing.

A few fleeting mentions of the saddle, but not enough info.

A soft saddle might be fine for a potter to the shops, but any distance the saddle needs to be firm and of the correct width.

Take a bit of kitchen foil and sit on it on a step, in normal seating position/legs etc.
Stand up and look at it and you'll see 2 indents. Those indents are your 'sit' bones, and will give you the best saddle width for your derriere.

Thanks, I just did that. Can you tell me the best place to get a 2ft wide saddle?
