Clip Anyone?

I do like the apparent ease of the snap on snap off, of the device. That alone makes it attractive to anyone who leaves their bike locked up in public for any length of time.
Is the control wireless?? looked like a controller was clipped onto the handle bar before the device was fitted to the wheel, but no wires were connected? not sure if i would like/trust that .
It also kinda weaponizes a bike i imagine with the mass off its batteries its like adding a hammer to the front of your wheel. kids will be jousting with em as soon as they are left alone..

Probably illegal, the Americans rarely take into account laws elsewhere as their hire e-scooters show.
But when will it sink it in that friction drive onto tyres is largely useless and never makes it in the market? Repeatedly there's these announcements of breakthroughs for at least eighty years now, all sinking into oblivion after a while
Of course some will tell me I'm wrong, but with personal experience of many of them going back most of that eighty years I know I'm right. If in doubt, try commuting daily with one in all weathers, it won't be long before all their failings became apparent.

On one of short videos you can see a guy clipping it on and cycling away without pedalling.
There is a lot of information about project, but I can't find any technical data.
I wonder how sturdy mounting mechanism is and how many times one can put it on and remove it. I wouldn't invest without testing product itself.
Will the bike zoom off while you're walking the bike?
I fear deep potholes will break it eventually, about a third along it's length like uncooked spagetti.
They really should have made it pointy or included a spear holder.

The Revos friction drive frome Bristol another fairly short lived product, no ,onge rproduced and after approx. four years no longer available.

Skarper Technology device looks promising. It engages with a special barke disk with a gear wheel.
It can be used with any bike and you need only additional disks for each bike.

Cops would simply need to look out for bikes sporting an apparent tumescence to unCLIP and confiscate, leaving the bike to ride home.
Maybe they'll make smaller versions for 20", 16" and 12" wheels? They always claim you can convert ANY bike lol.
There is a special hub available for those without disk brakes.Can't be used on my bike, it doesn't have disk brakes.

Is that a rear hub motor built into a wheel? Or is it front hub motored wheel? Is the battery integral? Do you have any in 20" which fit into 130mm dropouts? Is the special hub detailed on your website somewhere?
