Hi Everyone, this is my first post on this site and I was just hoping for some advice. I have a nice bike that I would like to convert into an ebike I will be using it both on-road and off-road. I was really excited when I came across the yose power kit after reading about it on this website. For £353 you get an integrated controller in the battery, LCD display and it looked perfect! I went to order one and they cant deliver to the UK anymore because of brexit. They said they might get some in on there ebay store in 1-2 months but no guarantee. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any other kits that could compare to this or if I should just wait out for it to come back into stock?

Many thanks

Nick

Woosh are very good, https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?kits
but they are a bit more expensive than Yose.

You'll probably find Yose are quite a bit more by the time they sort of the export to UK thing, and if you have issues (especially returns) that will be complicated with the absurd new regulations.

Cheap kits are cheap for a reason. All kits work, and most are better than not having one, but if you have a nice bike and want it to be nice after you convert it, it's worth getting a kit that does what you want rather than what's cheap.

If you want specific advice, you should show a picture of your actual bike and provide details about what performance characteristics you're looking for.

Hi Nick, I have a Yose kit (bought last June for about £350, prices had jumped to over £400 by Christmas due to lockdown demand).
It has been great for me as my first Ebike but I have since converted from Yose to system made by KT.
If I was buying again I'd prefer to buy a "current controlled" system (such as KT) rather than the "speed controlled" system (such as Yose) but it's not critical.
Look around, there are a few UK based suppliers who get good reputations on here.

Some links :
Yose on Ebay stopped selling to UK and opened a new "UK only" Ebay account, limited stock for now but it's growing https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/qx-official-eshopuk/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

See the links in the second post for info about Yose & KT systems https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/yose-350-rear-hub-kit-transplanted-onto-scott.40186/

Have fun
