Cheap Breakdown Recovery for Pedelecs and Pushbikes.

I was told on the phone that the policy covered the insured not the bike,and that any bike you were using whether you owned it or not, would be recovered in the event of a breakdown.

That is exactly right Neptune, it's a rider policy for any type of pedal cycle owned by the policy holder, electric or non powered.

I don't quite understand why there is so much negativity surrounding this thread?

It's not at the thread I'm sure John, but motivated by suspicion about insurance schemes and cop-out clauses. Many have suffered from them or have heard of their ill-effects so they wish to check for any possible defects in the cover.

The fact that that it's a personal cover rather than bike cover is reassuring though, and I can't see any reason for worrying about whether it will do the job promised. It's only a matter of time before a member posts on how it came to their rescue.

As I posted before, your inclusion of it with every new bike you sell is a very worthwhile customer benefit.
