Cheap Battery Option For Ezee - Advice Appreciated

Unfortunately I don’t think they could make a LifePO4 of that capacity small enough to fit in their battery case – at any price.

On many of their bikes like this Torq, they could have a much taller battery case as I've already shown by enlarging one in height by a small amount, much more is possible. Click to enlarge:

The main reason we don't currently produce a 14 Ah plus battery is cost-the 10Ah battery seems to have become the standard in China,is produced in large numbers and is good value-the bigger capacity batteries are a non standard purchase and therefore subject to pro rata additional costs. But the LifePo4 battery is becoming the prefered choice of replacement to Lead Acid so that situation may change in the near future-I will e-mail my battery manufacturer to see what the current situation is.

Yes, point taken. I should really have said ‘their existing battery case’ - nothing to stop Ezee making a longer one if they wished. I suppose the only constraint on the height of the battery there would be the saddle - so maximum capacity would be limited by the leg length of the rider!

LiFePO4 doesn’t seem to be favoured by many ebike manufacturers - Kudos excepted. It would be nice to find an existing reasonably priced one that fitted the space - so much easier to just adapt a connection than having to construct the whole battery from scratch.

That said I’m quite satisfied with my Ping on the rack.
