Hi, I was working if anybody changed the BBS02 motor and battery plate bullet connectors to somebody else.

If so, is it a difficult job.

Thanks

You don't need connectors on the battery plate because the battery is removeable and has its own connector. I always cut off those bullets and solder the wires directly to the controller.

You can buy connectors e.g. XC60, XC90 with wire tails which you then need to solder to the wires from which the bullets have been removed. It is just big wire soldering, so good multicore electronics solder and a high power soldering iron: 80 or 100W.

Not hard but practice first. Set up the wire ends touching or twisted together so you have both hands for the dolder and iron.

I stagger the joints for an extra level of protection in case the tape used to insulate the bare soldered joints wears through.

Shrinkwrap is better way of insulating the joints

Bullet connectors can get hot, even "professionally" crimped.

...decided to solder instead - received lots of great soldering advice here on the forum. Wove the wire strands tightly together, cleaned with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, used acid-free flux, Weller 60/40 lead solder, and this bargain 100W Silverline soldering iron in a well ventilated room, while wearing a KN95 mask and goggles:

...covered with self-adhesive marine heat shrink, plus self-amalgamating rubber tape in case the hot-glue adhesive breaks down with movement, UV, heat, grease etc.
