Changing batteries in Powabyke Shopper battery case, how?

I would like to know if there's an instruction manual on the web, where I can read how to change the batteries in the battery case for Powabyke Shopper? Because I was thinking I could save a bit of money by putting in new batteries myself, rather than letting the bicycle shop do it. I just bought the Powabyke Shopper, but I like to be prepared when the batteries give in. And one more question, is it possible to put in 12 V 12 AH batteries instead of 14 AH? I happen to have a few 12 V 12 AH from a previous electric bike, hopefully I will find a use for them later down the road...

Thanks in advance
/Marcus

I don't know of any online instructions on this Marcus, but you should find it quite simple to just follow the existing connections as long as you make sure the battery polarity is the right way round as you add each one.

It's perfectly ok to use 12 Ah ones if they physically fit in, the only difference will be that the range will be that much shorter.

Does it matter in wich order I connect the cables, like when you jump start a car? I don't wanna cause any damage...

The best way is to start at the last positive end Marcus, similar to cars. Get that third battery in, then add number two, and then connect the positive of number one to number two.

Finally connect the negative and then switch on.

All this is only precautionary though, since it's very unlikely to be critical anyway, while it's switched off.

Better belatedly say welcome to the forum, before you disappear in a puff of smoke.

Only joking, :) , enjoy your Powabyke, hope your weather is better than ours at the moment.

Powabyke Battery Polarity Question

Hello,
I am in reconditionning my powabyke 36 V LSA battery pack.
I have opened it and forgot to take a note in which direction the plus or minus of the battery are supposed to be.
Is the plus on the right side of the bike when the battery installed?
I would greatly appreciate your help on this.
Thanks
