Just replaced 11spd KMC E chain at 1300kms on CX drive.

Discovered one big flaw with cube engine cover, with chain suck (forgot to turn XT derailleur clutch on), chain jam between chain guide block and chain wheel. Luckily it happened at home and I had tools to remove pedal and chainring protector. Anywhere else I would've been walking home. Hammer and screwdriver might've cleared it and damaged chain in process.

Ooh sir sir, me sir, I know this one.

You may and/or should replace your chain in any of the following circumstances.

A) The bloke in the bike shop rests his metal gadget on it, sucks his teeth and shakes his head

B) Bang on the wheel of your lead-out man, you round the final curve of the 1st-cat crit, put down all of your awesome power for the sprint ... and it snaps

C) You see a nice shiny new one favourably reviewed on road.cc
