Chain advice required please

Can you guys who are up to speed on this stuff tell me what make of chain to get for a Kalkhoff Agattu - or maybe what make not to get?

Get a branded chain from the likes of KMC, SRAM, Shimano etc, can be silver finish, black or even colour. As it's a hub gear bike you need a 1/8" chain, not 3/32" or 8/9 speed which are derailleur types.

Due to the rear of seat tube battery making the bike longer, many standard bike chains are not long enough, so check the number of links you need. As a short cut to buying correctly 50cycles stock spare ones usually.

They are, but they do various grades at equally varying prices that can get quite high, just as with other bike components.. I've always found a little above floor level is good enough, nearer £10 than £5.

This site for example shows chains over the two pages from £5.99 to over £40 each, and probably none of them long enough for the Agattu. My past way has been to buy one brand and type only, two to start with and add whatever extra bit I need each time from the spare chain.

I also use SRAM chains, but Powerlink is only for the narrower derailleur chains though, the Agattu with it's hub gear uses a 1/8" single speed chain.
