It all went wrong when England left the Danish Empire on the death of King Harthacanute in 1042. If we had remainded Danish we would enjoy far higher bike usage, with proper lanes; seriously good thrillers on B&O TVs, sweaters; pastries;bacon; minimalist furniture; 13 bank holidays a year. What more could you want. I wonder if it's too late to apologise, and seek re-admission?
