I have the above bike the problem is the bike keeps going into walk mode as soon a i switch on,
the display as got some moisture got into the display , and i wonder is this the cause.
1. can you get a replacement display controller that will work the bike.

Show a picture of which display you have. Water in it will cause that problem.

yes it's a shame. the hardware is identical, so it should cost the same. It's just a rip-off. All these bikes with fancy comms are great until they go wrong, then your in deep trouble. often, you can't get the parts or they're very expensive. If you want to fix stuff yourself, you have to keep away from those bikes.

Ok everything is ok after the condensation / Dampness has dried out is there anyway of waterproofing the controller, so that it does happen again after Being caught out in the rain

I used to carry around a clear plastic bag, to pop over the display when it rained, then I made a rain cover which to simply leave on.

A Polythene bag and a rubber band. The water sometimes goes up the cable. The LCD becomes warm in use. if you then park it in the rain, the air in it cools down, contracts and sucks the water in, so don't park it in the rain after use.
