Help! carrera Vengeance C ladies bike that doesn’t want to work.

HI all
I am hoping you might be able to help us We have a carrera Vengeance C ladies bike that doesn’t want to work. I've been reading over the forums and getting pretty confused (which for me is not unusual)
I'll try and highlight what we have done
No power to the display when battery connected, but battery appears charged. when I press power on the batter I get 3 blue lights and 1 flashing, then goes off after a few seconds.

When we press power on the battery we get 3 blue lights and 1 flashing which I think means the batter is ok or have I misunderstood the battery state of Heath indicator.

When connected to the charger we hear a clicking sound.

Any advice would be great as it’s my sister in-laws bike and been stood for a while due to her health issues. We are trying to get it back up and running as she is currently receiving treatment and this would help here get out and about with here young daughter.

The battery test button is an indicator at best, a volt reading of the batteries actual charge via its connecting terminals is the best test.

However i suspect yours is just a simple case of the battery terminals not making good contact when the battery is slid home.
a plastic tool (spoon etc) can be used to bend any connecting terminals on the battery base back into place if bent out of shape by use over time.

sliding a battery in when its turned on can result in pops and bangs as it connects this can foul the connection, so cleaning the terminals with a bit of sandpaper etc isnt a bad idea.. and try to ensure the battery is switched off before refitting to the bike

I'll check again on the battery but the terminals looked good. I am in process of cleaning the bike connectors as noticed they are a bit dirty. It's been sat in a shed a while as she is having treatment.

If no joy, check the actual battery voltage with a meter after a full charge, a healthy battery should have a voltage close to 42v when fully charged.

What sort of display is mounted on the handle bars led or lcd? if the latter as long as the battery is connected correctly it should at minimum flicker when turned on.. So check wire integrity and ensure all connectors are fully pushed in home. (over tight cable ties can cut into wires with vibration/knocks.. )

Photos of the bike, display, controller, wiring connections, battery etc will help if still in trouble.

If you don't use those batteries for a while, they go to sleep and have to be woken back up. Download the manual for your bike and see what it says about how to wake up the battery. It's normally stick it on the charger for a while or press and hold a button for 10 seconds or so.

I've never heard of a Carrera Vengeance C. Am I ignorant or did you make a mistake?

It's an LED display but no power. I will upload a photo when I get the chance
