Carrera Subway Light Switch But No Light?

I purchased a carrera subway ebike recently and noticed there is a light button but the bike did not come with a light, my question is do these come like this new? Also is there a way to set the bike to have the switch off when you first start riding?

That switch is to light up the display for night time use, not to activate any external lighting system.

Interesting. That manual is diffwrent to my SiL's, which I had consulted for the answer.

Do you know of a suitable 6v 3w USB fed bike light?
