Could anyone help with this click, have covered 1200 miles. Just started and I've stopped riding till I can sort it.
Only does the click when sat upon the bike.
No click in throttle/ghost pedaling.
Clicks when pedaling along in 0/9 on/off or stationary and pedaling backwards.
Have stripped the kit off the bike cleaned it and fitted again. The noise is coming off the unit. But I don't know how to get the cover plate (steel big gear) off of the spindle.

Have ordered some MOBIL 28 attempted to take chainring side of motor off but the spindle is attached to the main drive cog/thing when I attempt to remove, so haven't gone further yet.
YouTube how to's show the main steel gear assembly coming clean off the body, mine is attached to the spindle/clutch? As if stuck.

Do a quick video to show what the problems are

Thanks I would do but I can't find a way to add video just images? I'm more spanners than tech.

If I could work out to detach the spindle from the final drive metal gear assembly I think I could work out the issue. If I detach the none drive crank arm it would all slide out still attached to the clutch/spindle

This person video shows what I mean at 6:35.
The whole thing comes apart with spindle stick to the metal gear.

I'm suspecting my clutch mech is stuck in it's receiver, and possibly damaged?

You can put a video on YouTube or similar and like it from here. Not sure if there is a more direct way.

Thanks for your replies, now solved. Seemed to be a dry roller bearing on the spindle but could of been but less likely the thrust bearing, crud in main metal gear/drive gear?
Cleaned out all the black Chinese grease and added Mobil 28.

Apart from the click being gone the motor is now even quieter and smooth as silk compared to pre re grease. I highly recommend doing this, I can see/feel how I've just extended my machines service life massively. Good luck stay safe.

Also grease the x2 closed bearing rings that sit beneath the chainring face.
