Can You Fit Aftermarket Throttle

Hi, I was enquiring if and how easy it would be to fit an aftermarket throttle to an ebike without one, which operates from a front hub motor.

The answer is yes, but cost and complexity will depend on what you have.

We need to see some pictures of the controller/connectors before any one can help you. Make/model would be useful too.

Hi. It all depends on the controller you have, i.e. if it allows you to plug one in. A photo would help if you can gain access to it.

Thanks for the swift replies. I have not purchased the bike as yet, so cannot supply pics. When you say controller, is that the display meter that you use to set the assistance levels etc.

No, it's the brainbox with all the wires attached - normally hidden somewhere.

Why don't you tell us which bike you want to buy, and then we'll tell you if it's possible, or better still, buy a bike with a throttle.
