Sadly I too have lots of puncture stories mainly from the farmer cutting the thorn bushes on the cycle track I use to work. The worst event was having all 3 tyres punctured on my trike. Had to throw the tube away and one of the tyres as riding on flat damaged the bead.
BUT the worst thing that happened was not a puncture but when my fork drop-outs snapped about 8 miles from home on the Ridgway. I had to strap the heavy front wheel to the bike frame (using my waterproof coat) and wheel the bike back on its back wheel balancing it as I walked along holding the bars. Now that was a long day. Maybe I should have got a taxi but I was in the middle of nowhere without my phone. At least it was a hot day so the beer tasked ever so good when I finally got home.
