That looks like a single speed fixie with no brakes, height of fashion again in London. :)
Yes, used to be very common many years ago and there's a lot to be said for their sheer simplicity, though they do
break the law now which requires two brakes on a bicycle in the UK.

Just some feedback as someone whos done festivals and camping touring by bike in the UK.

I can buy an amazing very very very light 2-3 man tent for £200 or a functional pop up tent for £40. I can buy a good very mobile trailer for £129. I'd then have two things which i can use for different purposes (granted in non poisonous environs).

If i put that up in the UK it would blow away (its windy here!)

I cant see this working in the UK market.

Hi...I have only had my X-bike for some 4 weeks but I hadn't done 5 miles on it when I decided that next year I would buy a railer and a tent, useing the camping and caravanning club network as a means of charging.

When I read the manual however, if I read it correctly, I find the maximum permitted weight of bike, rider and luggage to be 120kg.

As I weigh 90kg. and the bike weighs going on 30 kg. there is not a lot of spare carrying capacity for a trailer and tent and in the event I caused an accident I could be in a lot of trouble if I were overloaded.

My insurance company would certainly disown me.

have I got this right ?

The 120 kg is only for the all up weight carried by the bike wheels Mike, so the only part of the trailer weight
that applies would be that small amount of downforce at the tow attachment point.

The rest of the trailer is classed as towed weight rather than carried weight.
