Came across this in my search for a 2 seater Pedelec

Howdy have been looking around for a while at different units that are fully or somewhat fully enclosed I obviously found the elf and looked into that but looking at the models and such that they have. the features I want would cost me about 8 - 10,000 USD

I happened across a (via google) a place called Better bike (www.better.bike) that is out of the US and has a unit called the PEBL...

it is a 2 seater, with full floor and doors looked very interesting after reading the site and watching some videos i was interested enough to email them to see what was happening.. i was told they were just starting the kickstarter thing up and to watch for more info and videos as well as price (around $5,500 USD better anywho I found the kickstarter and so far looks very interesting have to see where this one goes

This one is cool too. But in Canada to qualify as a electric bicycle it has to have three or less wheels Which kind of sucks

I prefer the podride, once I'd stopped laughing at it's cartoon-like appearance and having watched the video demo...I'd buy one.

It was the same in the UK up to April last year, and even worse there was a 60 kilos (132 lbs) weight limit on trikes too. But then our government saw a degree of sense, allowing any number of wheels and completely removing the weight limits.

An elf like trike not very original. I would like to see one that is more recumbant for more aerodynamics and more efficient pedaling.

I like all these ultra-light pedelec microcars for what they are and for what they can do. There are two interlinked problems with them though. One is the 250 watt power limit, the other that they are completely incompatible with current road traffic.

As things stand they are only practical in areas of very light traffic or where there are wide segregated cycle routes they could use. We have neither of those in most of England.

in Canada we have a 500 Watt limit and 32 Kilometers Per Hour (without pedaling) Now with that said you can put a 750 watt motor on the bike that is fine no one will look at that.... it's the non pedaling speed they look at here

as soon as the police look in and see you pedaling well they loose interest too hard to prove how much work you are doing so they don't bother...

with the PEBL you can hook up a USB cable to it and adjust the speed and torque of the motor to conform with local laws...

so far that is the only one I have seen that you can do that with
