Cable operated hydraulic disc brakes

Interesting, and good spot. Another option is something like this which essentially is a brake master cylinder but cable operated, so you can use it with standard STI levers and the like. Would be a means of converting a hydraulic braked bike to use drop handlebars and levers.

I wonder if Froomey would fall off less often if he had discs.

I'd heard about these before. Perhaps a perfect solution for e-bike on cable disc brakes as standard.

Like these as well there Shimano and cost £150.00 on eBay so not cheap.
I converted my front brake to hidraulic and what a difference it makes and kept the standard rear cable disc with the cut out sensor on the brake lever and works out fine.
