Broken v brake tension rod

Is this repairable can buy a part or will I need buy whole new brake? Hope someone has experience this issue the bike fell over and the metal thin tesion rod snapped off so rubs on wheel now unless in clipped other pic Two is what is missing, it snapped of that metal silver part, thanks

Don't see anything on ebay, so your choices are -

Find an old-fashioned bike shop with a heap of duff bikes out the back which they can cannibalise
or
Buy a whole new brake assembly.

Best to call it a "return spring" if you're trying to explain what you want without the pictures.

Maybe good it broke they crap brakes anyway maybe good excuse get a decent front brake and least know what broken part called now.

Any old brake will do, it's only the return spring that you need. Hardly expensive.

Our local dump (whoops recycling centre) always has a variety of dead bikes and I expect yours does too: you could blag a spring from there.
