Hi, I have a Shengmilo mx2s which i have had for a couple of years. My digital display is broken, I am wondering if anyone knows how i could attach something to my battery to give a read out of how much power is remaining. To buy a new digital display is about 100 euros, i am looking for a more cost effective way of monitoring the battery power

ebay or its alternatives are probably the best source for a cheap volt meter (£2-3) or you could get a more detailed DC power meter for £12+
(ebay search 'dc volt meter 60v')

ebay search ' dc power meter 60v'

But you may need to retain the 'broken' display and keep it attached as generally settings such as speed limit wheel size pas sensor settings etc are set and stored in the display unit and passed onto the controller at system start up..

Fit a wattmeter between the battery and the controller. If you want it up on the handlebars to see it in real time, which is very useful, you have to buy one with a remote shunt. You can get them from Ebay. Whichever one you get, make sure it displays AH or WH.

With remote shunt:
