From Urzula von der Laying down the Law to..
Laying down und taking it?
What's next? China has upped the ante! Ooerr :-/
The people who did that video are idiots unless they got paid to say 'EU backflips on tariffs in a humiliating display of weakness as Trump executes plan perfectly'. Either way, I take it that you agree with that point of view to repost it here.

Why do you want the EU and by implication, Ireland, to rush a reaction? Trump is wrong on his tariffs and he knows it. He hoped that the world is going to queue up to offer him concessions and he can ask them anything he likes. Let him wait. The longer Trump has to wait, the more inflation is going to take hold in the USA and Trump will eventually grab at anything or backtracking.
Kimbal Musk, Elon's younger brother and major shareholder in Tesla has spoken out against Trump's tariffs. Elon Musk himself has also spoken out in favour of zero tariffs between USA and Europe, the US Senate has already voted to stop tariffs being imposed on Canada, millions of Americans have demonstrated against tariffs. Trump will double down as long as he can but honestly, do you think that tariffs are going to make USA weathier?

90 day pause, will it become permanent after "negotiations" more funny satire? :)
That will depend partly on who Trump will sack, Musk or Navarro or both. Anyway, if musk leaves on his own accord, congress will probably vote to stop or at least curb navarro's tariffs.

probably neither: maga "voters" are dense enough to feel saved, both will benefit from staying. unrelated of course, the allegations of insider trading are interesting).
apologies for complete change of tack: a myopic italian builder backed his 7.5 ton van over my zoe and totalled it (it happens a lot in calabria). here's the question, if any of you had to buy budget (read disposable) ev for the cafe/beach/gym run (say 15k euro) would you get mg4 (very dodgy reliability), zoe (not great suspension) or new dacia spring (49% adult occupant safety, BUT lifepo4 batteries with vehicle to load, meaning its essentially a 26kwh battery bank on wheels)?

If I had a limited budget of just 15k, I would look at what saneagle dug out: 2023 registered evs and hybrids with just delivery mileage. They are sold as surplus stocks, with 30%-35% discount.

thanks, yes, it's a great time to buy an ev in uk (15k buys a good used long range id3), a bit less so in EU. in the end i got a smart 1 (its OK, not great, but flash cars get broken into in my neck of the somewhat deprived italian woods)

im not crazy about the establishment either, but think about it - would you really fix a modern ICE (fuel injection, turbocharging, electronics)? if you buy that house and it has off street parking and you do less than 60 miles a day you can pick up a first gen Leaf for 2k and get ev specific energy contract that will charge 6p/kwh at night. £1.20 to do 60 miles and first gen leaf's are most reliable of all cars made in past twenty years.

Was he naughty? Tut tut ;-)
If he did, it's much worse than naughtiness, it's criminal regardless of his immunity.
He is the only president in history who leaked such sensitive piece of information. The SEC should investigate whether anyone close to his administration has taken advantage of the timing of his advice to buy.
The audio recording of trump's congratulating his entourage for making billions out of the 90 days cooler is simply a confirmation of the corruption.
