Is it OK that some billionaires buy elections for a particular candidate? That's what happened in the USA because it's allowed in their electoral laws.
In the UK and many other countries, there are electoral laws to limit spending and even fact check. Imagine you are a candidate without deep pockets. Would you like to see your competitors being supported by those who have money to spend on advertising and social media campaigns? Is it fair that your competitors may not be able to slander you but their anonymous supportters do that for them?
