If you want to find corruption, start with digital money and stock market. Look at who is selling X debts.

You already know that she does not mean replacing the euro with bitcoin, right? or dogecoin or trumpcoin. She means digitalise administration, most of EU administration is already on the net.

My previous comment was about what Ursula Von der Lyen said about digital Europe.
Lagarde talked about creating a payment mechanism to run parallel to the normal Euro. All what that means is transfers can be directly from wallet to wallet instead of via a bank account. You don't have to use a bank to do your transfer and banks don't have to use some clearing bank to pay recipients.
It's not the same of Bitcoin. Bitcoin like all the virtual coins at present is not legal tender, Your bank and your digital exchange will not garantee you a conversion price to any legal currency. The digital Euto (when available) is guaranteed by the ECB like the normal Euro. No need to worry about losing money because your account holds digital Euto instead of normal Euro.

Some would disagree with your Rosy spectacled view. They point out that any card or contact less payment is already "digital", so what is it really? .."which policymakers feared could undermine the ECB’s control of the money supply". Ah, now we see.. Control by EUSSR :)

Central banks controls only supply of narrow money (M1, M2), not broad money (M3, M4). Anyway, it's not the job of central banks to find out what you spend your money on. The police may though if they investigate you.

we disagree, that's fine but can't we stay on the facts rather than interpretation?
Have a listen to this re Real intentions for Digital Euro. Ms Lagarde's admissions during a prank call with Elenski impersonator. 3K limit, Programmability, Trackability, etc. Esp the "Crisis" needed to get people to accept it, sound familiar?
Humour - or is it real? :)
(Do others get v.quiet audio on odysee vids?)

You get all the proper info at the ecb website.

https://www.ecb.europa.eu/euro/digital_euro/features/privacy/html/index.en.html
At present, I have to pay Natwest Tyl to process online payments. If we have a digital pound, customers can pay me directly by just scanning a barcode. Not only I get paid as soon as, I don't have to pay a fee to the payment platform.
