When a story sounds far fetched it usually is... however on the assumption it was true I apologise
Or let's put it like this
" low even for you. Not very nice is it...
Assuming in turn you apologise for that, otherwise we are quits
I accept your apology, and offer mine. Still quits. It was a true story. Think lad broke his leg but like most motorcyclists was more concerned about his bike..

Apparently, the new vaccination centres will be working 12 hours per day. Why not 24 hours per day? This could almost double the vaccination rate.
I believe the rate of supply would then be outstripped. AZ reckon they can supply 2 million/week. NHS reckon they can delver same.No point injecting faster than it can be supplied.
Supposed to be increasing today.

I’m not massively impressed with what I’ve seen of the BBC TV school lessons so far.

The programmes I’ve seen involved a regionally accented twat, clowning around and attempting to be fancy. One bloke was wearing a pink skirt.

Whatever happened to spectacled, sober looking men wearing Crimplene slacks and corduroy jackets?

I can’t see the BEEBS efforts amounting to very much.

I remember some investigation saying we couldn't assimilate nearly all vitamin supplements any how. If you don't get them naturally (ie not concentrated in tablets etc) they are about 10% as effective.
If you want vit D, eat properly and get outside. I have to have regular blood tests, fortunately all nutrients, metals etc etc perfect. Never have vitamin tablets or supplements. Eat like a horse tho... Loads of eggs, salmon, fruit, milk cake and chocolate. Oh and whiskey now and again.
Some diseases affect ability to absorb nutrients. Which leaves at least some people with no option but to take supplements.

There are some substances which we have a capped ability to absorb. For example, seems to be around 10 micrograms of B12 and any more passes through. (Daily requirement typically quoted as being around 3 micrograms. That applies whether it is food sourced or supplement. (Unless suffering something that makes it even worse - approximating zero in Pernicious Anaemia, but reduced in many other disorders. And by quite a number of medicines.)

My wife has these two tablet on her prescription for D3
2 tablets daily Adcal-D3® Chewable Tablets
Calcium carbonate (1500 mg) and vitamin D3 (400 I.U.)
And 1 tablet daily
Colecalciferol 800 IU is the equivalent of 20 micrograms vitamin D3,

I wonder why she needs so much and this is a repeat prescription

My wife has reached the stage of dementia where her attention span for normal tv is pretty much a minute of so, but she will watch Children's TV, and laugh and it can engage her attention for up to an hour, which means I have to sit there and watch too.
If you haven't sat through "Horrible Histories" my advice is do something more educational such as disemboweling yourself with a blunt spoon.
Or even sit through the Daily Coronavirus sermons from the representative of the Jockey Club

In my little area of medical/health involvement, that amount of vitamin D isn't regarded as high. And most advice doesn't seem concerned until intake is significantly higher.

But, excess calcium is inappropriate. Many of "our" people are more likely low in magnesium. (That is, in my little area - might be spot on for your wife.)

And have a read about vitamin K2 - for example Wiki page (Health Effects):

Again - this is for interest rather than suggesting you change anything.

The local one to me operates partially outdoors with directed movements between temporary buildings. It's the only way they can keep the Health Centre running normally as well while maintaining isolation.

I daresay this sort of situation is commonplace. Here's an emailed account of the vaccination experience yesterday by an 86 year old friend and volunteering workmate:

"At the centre I was met by a female in yellow hi-vis vest. There is a cabin in which they do the registration but when full they use a second area to which I was directed via more yellow vests. Once inside the building I was directed to a chair then moved to a second one and on to a third before getting into the room where two were being done at once. The usual name, address, phone, doctor, allergies, etc questions were asked and added to a form which I then had to take out of the room and was directed to wait to be called into another room for the jab. Again two people were being dealt with at the same time. I had been given a leaflet about Covid-19 when registering and was now given a second one about post-vaccination. I was then directed to a waiting room to stay for fifteen minutes and could then leave. The vaccine was the Pfizer Biontech. With the second leaflet was a card recording the type of vaccine and the particular batch. It has space for details of the second jab when that occurs - anytime up to 12 weeks."

Should have been stripped years ago. Or never offered it. His record of cheating is an open not-secret. What is often called bringing a sport into disrepute.

Do as I say not as I do!
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/boris-johnson-cycle-7-miles-downing-street-olympic-park-b827961.html
Boris Johnson spotted cycling seven miles from Downing Street in Olympic Park
Exclusive: The PM was ‘concerned’ after his cycle ride around the park
The Prime Minister was wearing his TfL hat and a face mask when he was seen cycling with his security detail in Stratford, east London, at around 2pm.
So that's two offences!
And here is the comedy
"
A source told the Standard the PM was exercising, adding: “But he did note how busy the park was and he commented on it at the meeting last night.
“He was concerned about if people were following the rules and was concerned after his cycle ride around the park.”

More like he was afraid they would reveal that he was doing a Cummings! :D

if Pfizer recommends 3 weeks, it's because they reckon the primary response is not strong enough.
