At the moment, I am actually more concerned about people with immune systems that appear to in some way be malfunctioning. Such as those with autoimmune disorders.

That is actually a fallacy. A Pension is a promise from the productive younger generation to the older generation that they will support them. The paper in the bank or the insurance office does not feed you, or provide nursing care . It is the efforts of the younger people which do these things. They do it on the presumption that they in their turn will get the same.
