No, Labour are the expert fence sitters, aiming to collect as many from all opinions as they can in order to get elected.

That will be the more exciting since none of us has much of a clue what they'll do apart from nationalising rail and water.

How do they pay for that and other promised measures? How about backtracking on the purchase of Trident, that would be right up their street of what they really want to do.

Scammer Farage will not refund Brexit Party candidates - Nice littler earner for him

One of the effects of Nigel Farage's announcement that the Brexit Party will not be contesting 317 seats currently held by the Conservatives is that many of his candidates are being stood down.

That has brought an angry reaction from some who have already spent a fair bit of time and money on their local campaign.

Speaking to LBC's Eddie Mair, Mr Farage says he has no plans to compensate those candidates.

"I'm sorry for people who have put their time and money on the line," he says, but adds that he "warned them all face-to-face that if circumstances changed" then the situation would be different.

"I'm not going to refund their money. They put their faith in me to do the right thing and the vast majority of them, this afternoon, agree with what I've done."

In the interview, Mr Farage also reveals that 3,000 people applied to be Brexit Party candidates at the election.

Oh dear, wrong again. Never mind, we are used to it. You should go on Mastermind with specialist subjects of getting things wrong and the bleeding obvious. You’d do very well. The population is rising not just in the east, but in the West as well.

People need to stop having as many babies and the more obstacles and difficulties governments can put in the way of having children, the greater the chance we have of reducing environmental damage. That’s the issue, anything else is niff-naff & trivia.

Global population at my birth was estimated at 2 billion it is now 7 billions. The population of Western Europe has jumped from 500, millions to 700 millions .. depending on how many countries you include . The population of Asia was estimated as 1.5 billion at the time. Their population is now 3 times higher, ..or 300% , whereas Western Europe has increased by 40% .
Now there was a war just concluded, and Russia had not fully recovered from their experience in scientific agriculture, so the population was slightly suppressed . But the figures are there ..

It is the 3 fold increase in Asia which puts the major pressure on resources.. particularly as they were coming from an energy poor level.

China tried to limit population growth though a one-child quota system with mixed results.

Russia that curbs immigration and whose population is declining is trying to get Russians to breed more like rabbits.
