Brexit, for once some facts.

This is frightening
In the Independent
"The YouGov surveys found that 71 per cent of Leave voters in England, 60 per cent in Scotland and 70 per cent in Wales think violence against MPs would be a ”price worth paying” to deliver Brexit. "
The figures are only slightly lower for Remain supporters, with 58 per cent of pro-EU voters in England, 53 per cent in Scotland and 56 per cent in Wales saying that politicians being attacked would be worth it Britain remained in the EU.

Voters would also be happy to accept members of the public being badly injured in protests if it meant they got their way on Brexit.
Among Leave voters, 69 per cent in England, 62 per cent in Scotland and 70 per cent in Wales think civilians being hurt would be a “price worth paying” for Brexit.
While Remain voters are slightly less willing to accept violence, 57 per cent in England, 56 per cent in Scotland and 57 per cent in Wales would still rather people were badly injured than Britain left the EU.
Bizarrely, around one in 20 voters said they wanted civilians to be injured in protests regardless of their views on Brexit.

The polls were conducted as part of the Future of England survey, which is carried out annually by academics at Cardiff University and the University of Edinburgh.

Brexit has to be stopped before things get even worse. as we predicted.
You don't see the irony in this post do you OG. Specifically your last sentence. And then you are surprised at the poll's results. Its exactly your kind of attitude that fosters the very reactions you mention. You are a fool.

Yup. I can readily think of left wing nutters who have killed mp's. And left wing prime ministers who have made light of it. Not.

Oh good grief, lowering yourself to Fingers level just because I reminded you of your responsibility for this mess?
Righto! on topic post coming up.

I think Boris Johnson should be prepared to keep his word to die in a ditch if he expects labour to honour their word and grant him an election.
It's only fair after all to expect people to keep to their word, unless he's too chicken of course.

See?

You can do it when you try.

You could put a wanking homeless man up for election in Stoke Newington and he would win so long as he was wearing a Labour rosette
You do have a thing for (unintentional) irony. I do some work with the homeless, in my neck of the woods several have advanced tertiary education and could teach a brexit orifice like you a great deal (if they could be bothered)

Labour not believing BJ:

Labour will only support the prime minister’s push for a general election if a no-deal Brexit is taken “off the table”, Jeremy Corbyn has said.

He declined to say whether or not Labour will back moves for an election if the Commons votes on the matter on Monday. In an interview this evening, he has said:

Take no deal off the table and we will absolutely support an election. I’ve been calling [for] an election ever since the last one because this country needs one in order to deal with all the social injustices but no deal must be taken off the table.

Asked what he would do in the event of a vote on Monday on whether or not to hold elections, he said:

Tomorrow, the European Union will decide whether there’s going to be an extension granted or not that extension will obviously encompass whether there’s a no deal or not. Let’s find that out tomorrow.

JC may outfox BJ and Cummings by bringing TM's deal with some Labour input back to the HoC next week.

Oh. I see the irony all right!
Zlatan you are terminally confused to come out with nonsense like that.
I warned what would happen and now it is turning out badly as was obvious for anyone to see.
How the hell do you make that to be my fault?
And you talk about Irony?
The fault is yours, you voted for this situation and were cocksure you knew what you voted for.
You didn't did you?
I did, and you don't like it do you?
Who's the Fool? well it isn't me, I didn't cause this situation.
And now you want someone to blame.
Buy a mirror, and take a good look at yourself.

Government pulls £100m no-deal 'Get Ready for Brexit' advertising campaign
The 'Get Ready for Brexit' media blitz cost an estimated £100m — but the National Audit Office suggests the ads failed to resonate

Spaffing?
They sure failed to resonate. But government campaigns should be informational rather than promotional.

And, just how many of those who wish to remain would ever have resonated?

I wonder how much of the costs, if any, they will recover?

Wouldn't be at all surprised to read that they have cancellation clauses which provide for some compensation to the advertising industry, this decision invokes them, but it would have cost less to let the thing die than positively terminate.

I watched BBCQT last night. They were in South Shields.
The audience was largely pro Labour and pro brexit.

when the question turned to whether Bojo's 12-Dec election would be a Christmas gift, someone in the audience (I suspect a pro BXP) suggested that if the conservatives combine their forces with the BXP, they will wipe out the opposition. Bruce asked 'but that will lead to no deal brexit and Nissan said that the'd leave if we don't have a deal'

Nobody in the audience could articulate a single benefit that brexit would bring to them, all they repeated was 'don't call us idiots, we knew exactly why we voted for brexit'.

Clearly there is a call for a more socially acceptable appellation to describe this mindset, my suggestion would start with
Kamikaze

On Breakfast this morning Javid wriggled and squirmed when the announcer broached the rumour spread by a "Downing street source"
Let's call it I.T.M.A. (Flecc will know what I mean)
That the Government will go on strike if they don't get labour to agree to a General Election.
Needless to say Javid blamed Corbyn personally for Boris failing to deliver Brexit on 31 Oct.

I reckon it's more a case that Javid can't reveal his budget in a couple of weeks.
The problem is Bojo makes spending promises wherever he goes, Javid will have a hard time finding the money for it because his budget has to be checked by the OBR and they are civil servants.
The OBR will ask the BoE for their forecast and that will be embarrassing.
JC will delay the GE long enough for Javid's first budget to be critised left right and centre.

Like I said you just dont see it do you.
You come in here and quite righly criticize or are offended by the fact many people in country would be willing to turn to violence to get their own way. Then you proclaim
"Brexit must be stopped"
Are you thick or something or doing it on purpose.
Its exactly the proclamations and assumption of right that pushes people from both sidesto feel they must go to extremes to be heard.
Yes turning to violence should be abhorred by all.
Proclaiming *Brexit must be stopped" does no more than foster exactly what we all should ctiticize.
You only need to add "at all costs" and your proclamation becomes a cry to arms. Ironic that it was tagged to a good criticism of our violent society.
A point missed completely by you.
What we must do is try and understand what opposing views are and why by talking reasonably. I have tried to do so with you OG but its impossible for you to reciprocate. You will blame me, others, leavers, anyone.
I said months ago we should all take care to not let situation descend.
Time you tried OG.
