I think it might have been a figure of speech :D Do you know how hard it is to get a fire arms cert (FAC)for a rifle? shotgun cert is easy FAC very hard.PLus Khaki wouldn't suit him.
I think you can get a lethal crossbow without any restrictions. If people want to do harm to others they will find a way. However I do think our gun laws are sensible and fairly well balanced. Not sure about the knee jerk reaction to pistol shooting though

He wasn't being truthful was he?
And in fact other missile weapons too, longbows, spear throwers, slingshots boomerangs and catapults for instance.
Gun control is an essential part of running a safe society

Now that is utter rubbish, not far from me is the Cotting ham Gun club where you can fire anything from a pistol to a rifle, my own father and his brothers trained there before going to complete in the national sharpshooters finals at Bisley in the 1930's!
The laws have been tightened up since then, but against that
The legislation is interpreted in different ways by different police authorities. For example, some authorities allow clubs to possess long-barrelled pistols for members to use, and allow members who own them to allow other members to use them. Other authorities place the condition that only the owner may fire them; it is considered an offence for anyone else to even touch the firear
Before each Olympics the Government nornally makes a special dispensation to cover the training of the National Team
Do people believe his lies?
A long barrelled pistol is classed as a rifle, 12" barrel 24" overall, a normal pistol is section 5. yes the Olympic team are allowed to train on a section 5 range on the run up to the Olympics (not the 4 years in between but when Farage made that statement they weren't. Bellow is a long barrelled pistol, no good for the olympics,It's 24" long, it was made to get round the laws and that makes the law a farce. 22lr pistols should be taken off section 5. It would take a terrorist about 30 seconds to hacksaw the arm extension off the gun below.

The withdrawal of all English financial aid, the pound and the military would silence the midget in an instant. It’s double standards are breathtaking.
It's been admitted we can't withdraw the pound, any country can use any currency on a global market system. No permission is necessary.

And we can't stop them having Scottish regiments, it's their call.

And so is their wanting to remain in the EU, the main driver for the newly increased wish to devolve.

Damn the BBC. They never fail to issue an unnecessary warning of flash photography before a news article, but NEVER warn the public that an article contains footage of a Scottish dwarf experiencing an episode of menstrual rage. This is precisely what has just happened when they screened the leader of the SNP.

We can withdraw B of E support for any currency they choose and thereby cease to underwrite their economy. I was referring to withdrawing all English military installations from Scotland. If they want to invest in their own military, it’s their call. I doubt there would be enough money for food, let alone guns.

The thing is, she is the First Minister of Scotland, who are you?

By all means object to her policies but do it in an intelligent manner without the insults an denigration.

It would also seem that your knowledge of Scottish politics has been gleaned from the English red top press, not a reliable source of information on that subject.

You post quite a lot of sense in some of your contributions but you seem to lose all reason where Nicola Sturgeon is concerned.

Would I be right in suspecting that there is a sexual element to your feelings about our FM which you are finding hard to control.

Anyone over the age of 23 that thinks Corbyn is the answer needs to sludged down to Soylent Green.

And this is a Labour, anti Blair voter talking.
Of course he's not the answer, he's not very good at his job, but his predecessor Miliband wasn't the answer either, or Thatcher, or Major, or Blair, or Cameron or May, all doing considerable damage to this country.

I just want to use Corbyn for one term to get rail and water back into public ownership. He wont get re-elected afterwards so there's damage limitation built in.

And I'm with him on some elements. I'm not a royalist, and in one respect I'd promote breaking up the union in the interests of getting Ireland reunited. And I respect the right to self determination of the Scots.

Oh dear, the £ is a freely tradeable currency, any country which chooses to use the £ does not require the backing of the BofE.

There are no "English" military installations in Scotland.

took his driving test seven times... but there's one job my husband would do well: SARAH VINE reveals why she thinks Michael Gove is the right man to be Prime Minister"
Anyone who needs seven attempts to pass a driving test isn't fit to steer a country.

It would be more appropriate for him to be armed with a Kalashnikov.
