Brexit, for once some facts.

I have to say that I'm almost on the verge of leaving this thread since it's becoming impossible to post sensibly and politely without offensive responses.
Don't surrender your intelligent input and wide breadth of general knowledge in this incredible thread because of the antics of two or three internet trolls whose sole purpose is to create mayhem and to disrupt all positive contributions.

These are people of half your age who are smart-asses with no personal experience of life before the Common Market, as was. They have no experience of what life in the UK was like before the NHS; they did not live through the blitz, nor did they experience the thirties depression.

These people have no concept of socialism; they have no humanity and they don't understand any motivation other than money and personal wealth expansion in the 'I'm all right Jack' way of the Thatcher generation.

Some of us had to wear uniform and go to places we'd rather not have been to but these smart-asses think they have a god-given right to have it all, laughing at migrants and treating their fellow man born elsewhere despicably just so long as they can hide behind their computer screen and abuse the privilege of free speech.

Sometimes I wonder if any of these trolls and haters have ever researched their family tree; I suspect that many of them would find if they could look back far enough, that they are descended from migrant people from various other countries….many of those now member states of the EU.

I'm afraid that I don't suffer fools gladly like OG and your good self so I respond as I see fit, often using ungentlemanly language - trolls and ignorant people don't like the truth, preferring lies from the proponents of this whole 'Brexit' fiasco.

Don't give in to the unwarranted slurs and the nasty responses from a small band of ass-holes who behave in precisely the way of all internet trolls 'flecc'. This thread needs your steadying hand and 99% of forumites have nothing but respect for you and your prolific contribution to the whole world of pedelecs.

I didn't realise it came out like that; I thought I had only produced a link to the source video on Youtube or somewhere else.

Tom
For me, that is exactly what they do. Just a link. But that is because of my browser settings which block most links to fb - unless I expressly choose to go there.

Amazing how Gray comes on and defends flecc (a decent sort but for some odd reason Snowflecc got to him) and makes a sound request we all leave out insults yet within 2 posts Tom is straight in calling folk trolls....
It was a great post by Gray.. Tom read it again, there, s a good chap. Perhaps a case of not all leavers are trolls but all trolls voted leave..??? Was racist last time.

And OG thanks so much for telling us we are all welcome to stay on your thread. It's appreciated.

And yes, I totally agree flecc has made a fantastic contribution to thread and he should stay. However, I find his current annoyance is both misplaced and hypocritical. He has witnessed folk being called racist, scum, thick, idiotic and xenophobic yet regularly supports the poster doing so. The insult of Snowflecc is perhaps inappropriate but hardly that bad and reacting to it gives it more credence. Ignore it flecc.

And extrudents is a great anology.
And Snowflecc was funny. Much funnier than any post from Tom.
Oh, and it wasn't kingfisher talking last night it was "Honeybee"...(posted 9am India time, so no I didn't have that much, enough mind)

How many more folk are going to have to ask Tom to leave out the insults before it sinks in? I have asked repeatedly, Peter asked (then left) Woosh as asked.. Its ridiculous Tom.
Even your request for flecc to remain insults (assholes, and references to racism) some posters. When will you learn. Yes, Fingers, Tommie and I have had a go at posters but read back. The insults are 99% from YOU.

This old chestnut of the bluff leading to staying in the EU under better terms has resurrected itself in the Express
"
Remain PLUS? Tory peer to unveil plans for ALTERNATIVE Brexit - which keeps Britain IN EU
A TORY peer is to unveil plans for “Remain Plus” Brexit deal which could see the UK stay in the European Union under renegotiated terms.

Lord Saatchi believes his eleventh-hour proposal will break the Commons “deadlock” by providing MPs with an alternative to Theresa May’s unpopular plan. Under his EU Membership Bill, which will be put before the House of Lords on Monday, the Prime Minister would be forced to negotiate new membership terms with Brussels. The Conservative peer’s plans would involve changes to free movement rules and allow the UK to control immigration and require the reform of EU institutions to give Britain equal voting weight with Germany.

get your tick of approval.
You are as bad as Tom.

We should all be able to disagree politely without causing offence. Both sides.
To be fair Flecc usually does. Woosh as far as I, m aware, is the only remainer critical of Tom's offensiveness.

Still failing to get the point? this thread is entiled "Brexit at last some facts"
Your post is off topic and only intended to deflect the thread with your monotonously repeated personal criticisms, intended to cause arguments among the contributors.

Here are some facts: what is about to be considered in the High Court

Of course the illegality of the referendum result will be brushed under the carpet, as the chance to rip off the public is a "once in a lifetime opportunity" for the likes of the leave campaign politicians

Yes, very much so classic Boris stuff
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/borisjohnson/12169386/Sorry-Boris-a-vote-to-leave-means-we-leave.html

This was dated 9:51PM GMT 22 Feb 2016
"
Boris Johnson has set out his position for the European Union referendum: he will campaign for Vote Leave. But his position on Brexit itself remains rather ambiguous.

Nowhere in his Telegraph article this week did he say that we should actually leave the EU. He said only that we should vote to leave. Then, he says, we should push for a better deal. “There is only one way to get the change we need,” he contends, “and that is to vote to go.”

There are two interpretations of this. One is that he wants not Brexit, but a deeper renegotiation of Britain’s EU membership. This is a return to an idea that he floated last summer: We vote against membership on the current term then, rather than leaving, we negotiate a better deal. And after that we have a second referendum to endorse this improved offer."

So it wasn't only Jackass who wanted another referendum, Boris did too!

Well leave voters, what is your opinion on that bombshell?
Do let us know what you make of that.
And note that Boris had already said he would campaign for Vote Leave, so you can forget the notion that he had changed his mind at the last minute.

There is nothing new in that multi-millionaire's idea; it is simply desperation to get any kind of second-best deal through that would protect the ability of people like him to remove money from the UK into tax havens.

As with other tory ideas that have come and gone previously, Saatchi's idea is 'Brino' and only serves to muddy the waters while attempting to condition the public that any form of 'Brexit' is some kind of victory and a foregone conclusion.

It is just another example of the propaganda war on the public through brainwashing via government-controlled media outlets.

The European Union

More facts:

Population Germany 82.79 million
Population UK 66.02 million

So this person wants equal voting rights for a country with a smaller population - is he from the USA?
