The oversight of companies - here and, it seems, on IoM - lets far too many issues get out of hand. If it has no address, why was it not suspended immediately and de-registered if the issue was not (ho ho) promptly addressed? Surely it couldn't have been allowed to get registered without an address?
it has a registered address but when the BBC reporter turned up there, there is no physical presence of the company.

Woudl it be so very difficult to demand a photo of the mandatory company nameplate? We obviously cannot expect to walk in and question anyone working there, but there are some simple things that can be done.

And if he does it again?

We are expected to follow his lead?

Boris Johnson apologises to MPs for failing to declare income in time

Watchdog says former minister failed to register money from Telegraph column and books

Note last paragraph:

Stone said that she was referring her report to the committee on standards because her powers to agree any reprimand or punishment only took effect “where the financial interests are minor or the breach of the rules were inadvertent”. She added: “Neither of those criteria are met in this instance.”

There is this way:

In general terms, no you cannot use a PO Box Number as your registered office, however, you can use a PO Box address if you provide Companies House with the full, physical postal address.

In other words separately providing the address of the mailbox location is ok, even though not physically present there. The USA is much tougher on this and doesn't allow this dodge.

It was a good piece last night. I’ve worked with Sweeney in the past. He’s a good operator. It was a bit pointless though. I think it’s a set up piece. They won’t leave this alone. And no one is more annoying than sweeney to get up the nose of the rich and loathsome.

Have you seen his FIFA and Scientology stuff?

When leave campaign fans imagine the degree of criminalty had no effect on the outcome of the Referendum they should take note of these facts.

Leave targetted advertisemenst
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-44966969
The 24 adverts, seen at least 1.96 million times - and potentially as many as 4.2 million times - were all posted in the final three days of the EU referendum campaign.

Early on in the campaign, Vote Leave launched a giant data harvesting exercise through a competition to win £50m if you could correctly guess the result of all 51 games in the 2016 European football championship.

The odds of winning the contest - which Vote Leave funded through an insurance policy - were calculated at one in 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

It was described by one Vote Leave insider at the time as a potential "game changer" because it would allow it to gather the contact details of thousands of potential voters, many of whom would not normally be interested in the referendum.

......................
And the day after the Referendum
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/britons-are-frantically-googling-what-the-eu-is-after-voting-to-leave-it-a7101856.html

Britons are frantically Googling what the EU is after voting to leave it
And abroad the Strait times reported

Google noted search interest in "EU referendum result odds" had spiked by a whopping 800 per cent over the past day.

Hmm so they knew what they voted for did they?

A polite "Dear John letter" from Norway

Translated for the leave voters on here, "we don't trust the UK"
And leave fans imagine countries will be champing at the bit to make trade deals with us?
They are not so stupid as to believe the sort of garbage leave voters are fed

From Philip Hammond...
Some people claim the UK has nothing to fear from a no deal Brexit. But there would be restrictions on Britons travelling in the EU. And Britain would be the only major economy trading with the EU on WTO terms, he says.

He says this would generate tariffs and paperwork.

Cars would face tariffs of 10%, clothing 12%, and agricultural goods would face even higher tariffs.

He says 90% of beef exports and and 95% of lamb exports to go the EU. They would face tariffs of 70% and 45% respectively.

I suppose that would mean more meat for UK,unless of course all the farmers have gone bust.
It amazes me why some voted Leave....Farmers,Car Workers,Dairies....they all could be voting themselves out of a job by voting for Leave, very strange!!

KudosDave

they don't believe in predictions made by the other side.
The ERG has already come to the conclusion that keeping the £39 billions on the table is a sensible thing, even if their side wins the argument. They would pay to get an immediate carbon copy of the CETA.
If we brexit without a deal, I reckon we'd have a new deal within months.

As I've posted previously, the car makers would definitely move to the the EU mainland, the assemblers first, Toyota, Honda, PSA-Vauxhall, but Nissan would not be long after them and probably Jaguar-Land Rover.

In less than a decade we'd be back to the early 1970s when the IMF had to come in to rescued us from bankruptcy. The Leavers say this is project fear, but they'll soon really know what fear is if we do leave in this WTO way.

However, I don't see it happening, as daft as this government is they do know the facts of life.

where most brexiters don't seem to think of is how much integration is the basis for growth in trade and integration means shared standard, value and sovereignty.
