Brexit: Arron Banks firm has 'no address'

Rock Holdings is a firm registered in the Isle of Man and controlled by Leave.EU founder Arron Banks.

The Electoral Commission's ongoing investigation of Leave.EU funds was referred to the National Crime Agency.

Mr Banks denies any wrongdoing.

But BBC Newsnight has found that Rock Holdings has no official registered address on the Isle of Man and that it is therefore "in default", meaning it is not compliant with company law on the island.

Meanwhile one of Mr Banks's companies has obstructed the BBC's attempt at seeing Rock Holdings' accounts - despite formally agreeing with Companies House that it would ensure the documents would be made publicly available.

Whilst we are so far OT...
Went out for business dinner/talk last night.. All sorts of folk there. I was sat with a Jeweler and his family. He has 4 outlets in Goa and told me his business went back 4 generations. Anyhow, during course of evening I realised (I, m quick) that two things stuck out. Firstly all proceedings were in English and secondly half of speakers were female and virtually every organisation had female representation. I asked Jeweler friend.
The English was to annoy the Russians, he had serious issues with them.(His words) "The tourists are ignorant, mean and aggressive and the business men are like dealing with mafia." ( Racism ??)
On the females. "Twenty years ago every Indian wanted male offspring,but we have been spoiling males for centuries. Unfortunately I was blessed with just males. They are peacocks with massive egos. They fight and when they lose they sulk, smoke and do nothing. Look at their Armani suits,their Rolex watches. (glancing towards his 2 sons) They Bragg to all the world but the girls they work harder, invest more wisely and when they lose they cry and get over it. They move on,they must because our society has abused them for years. But we have learned. Now every firm wants women in high office. Every family wants female offspring. Our government has lots of extremely powerful women. "
He paused for a while and then added.
" Females in our country have far better tax concessions aswell, from manual workers to massive firns, it pays to have women owners, my wife and I now own the business"
Was a fantastic meal. Went easy on the kingfisher.

There are only two such imbecilic contributors to this forum currently that I am aware of and I try to ignore them as much as I can.

The oversight of companies - here and, it seems, on IoM - lets far too many issues get out of hand. If it has no address, why was it not suspended immediately and de-registered if the issue was not (ho ho) promptly addressed? Surely it couldn't have been allowed to get registered without an address?
