No it wont...what will attract a vote of confidence is if after her deal is voted down, which I think is now unlikely, she decides to put to parliament a peoples vote,I think there is a majority in the house for a second vote....then JRM will start throwing his toys around and try to get the 48 letters, but he still will be defeated by the Tories, that is the end of hard Brexit. Dont forget that once May has won a leadership challenge there cannot be another for one year, she will be the stronger after the challenge.
The EU have already said they will extend Art 50 to allow for a second referendum.
KudosDave
Sorry.. the EU did not say that ...Mr Barnier said he would recommend to the EU Council of Ministers ,that it be extended, but it does require a unanimous agreement from 27 to extend the time period . Now I am not suggesting , that will be impossible or even difficult but it is not a slam dunk.

She will win the vote of no confidence because the Tories will put Party before country but there really isn't a pathway to get her deal over the line.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if Juncker and Barnier suddenly find a way to change the wording of the backstop after she signs the deal on Sunday.
Once a deal is signed, you would want to change the wording?. No wonder you Brits rule the world with that kind of logic ...and morals.

The 'BrexitExposed' web page sees the current situation like this:

''Theresa May's ideologically driven destruction of Freedom of Movement is being championed as her "biggest win" in the shambolic last-minute Brexit proposal she's cobbled together.

The upshot of this attack on free movement is that British people will lose their right to live, work, study, and retire in the 27 remaining EU states, with visa-free travel only allowable for short-term visits.

Additionally it means that vital sectors of the UK economy such as agriculture, the health service, the leisure industry and manufacturing are heading for massive recruitment crises as the Brits getting trapped in the UK by Theresa May's Brexit are highly unlikely to want to work as seasonal cabbage pickers, care workers, or hotel porters instead.

It's absolutely mind-boggling that the destruction of our rights as British citizens, and the negative economic impact of slamming the door on our European neighbours is being hailed as some kind of wonderful victory for Theresa May.

It's an assault on our freedom and opportunities, and it's a ridiculous act of self-harm, which has come about out of Theresa May's determination to appeal to the xenophobia of narrow-minded ethnonationalists who simply can't abide the fact that Germans, and Poles, and Czechs, and Finns in the UK have the same rights as Brits, just as Brits have the exact same rights as they do when we're in their countries.

They want to tear the whole thing down no matter what the opportunity costs to British people or the damage to the British economy, and Theresa May is actually being championed as some kind of victorious hero for pandering to their basest instincts, rather than being damned for it!

I think Fox is as thick as mince but lets get it right. We are not allowed to make trade deals, let alone announce them until we are out.
Tell me why would we need to?
We have as many of them we could possibly need in the EU and outside it it could take a lifetime to duplicate what we threw away.

That qualifies as one of the more stupid of the claims you have made so far, that it makes sense to set the nation's trade agreements back so far?
According to Jackass Grease Smug it could take us Fifty years!

Are we going to enter into about 50 trade deals on day one after we leave with a team consisting of the pillocks now negotiating with the EU on our behalf?
And they will be competing against the professional negotiators from the EU for preference.

And if we don't do that all we can do is scramble for the scraps that the WTO allows us to do entering into a load of agreements at a disadvantage to do so
That is assuming of course if Trump doesn't put the boot in and kill off the WTO in the meantime.

And you want to make a trade deal do you
If it wasn't tragic it would be funny.

The vote was for future generations.
You are really 'avin a bubble' with that comment. Not for one moment did the average 'Brexit'-voting ignoramus give any consideration whatsoever to our children and grandchildren. Had they so done, then the 'Remain' camp would have triumphed in something close to a whitewash in the referendum and Ca-moron would still be PM.

Theresa May keeps saying that if this botched deal isn’t accepted, one consequence is that there may be no Brexit at all. She made this exact statement yesterday morning. A few hours later, she told the HoC, whilst answering a question asked by Esther McVey, that the UK will be leaving the EU in March, come what may. So which statement is the lie? Both can’t be true. I suspect it’s a botched statement, to compliment her botched deal. A botched Prime Minister and former botched Home Secretary. Can she actually get anything right?

Let's give the question a little context with a comparison

If you are Captaining the Titanic, forgot to check how many lifeboats you have , and just ordered Full steam ahead in an ice field, does it matter whether you make the right decision or not?

Bit of a hypothetical question you have there, but as fingers would say, and with the fate of future generation is mind,
After careful consideration the answer is.............. no

Why would I?

It hasn't happened yet.

Nothing has happened apart from a few blowhards whingeing and people who are scared of their shadow crying.

Ask me in 3 to 5 years.
Of course he won't, after all if it takes him 3 to 5 years to think about something , we shouldn't expect him to be capable of doing so on such short notice

Eight years from referendum, more or less, to decide whether you regret it?

The pro-brexit claims made it sound as if minutes after leaving we would all be better off. Not that it would takes years to negotiate the actual leave, more years to negotiate the future relationship, and everything would be so goddam unclear, we'd need all of those years to assess if it made any sense.

I occasionally skim read this thread when I’ve not visited for a while. Today, I keep seeing the word Hitler.
Well I did ask the person who posted that name, and he has as yet not responded.
The first mention of Hitler in Pedelecs forums was by Tony Game back in January 2008. Here it is

Then a bit of fun about Churchill and Hitler from Stephen Gately in 2009, here it is

Lemmy then had more fun on the topic of dictators' little known history as bicycle dealers, here that is

Also in 2009, member Indalo in posting praise about me, intelligent chap that he was, drew attention to the Tory press saying Ken Livingstone was worse than Hitler! Here's the link

So no shortage of precedent, seems pedelecs members have seen Hitler's funny side. That should really enrage Fingers. :D

I seem to remember that ww3 would break out and we would have to have an emergency budget the day after we voted leave too.

Those cheeky remainers!

There never was a WW3 claim and the Emergency budget claim was based on the notion we would be instantly after leaving the EU the Monday after the decision.
It didn't happen that way did it, hence no emergency budget
lets see if that is true when and if we actually leave

Once again you are peddling an Urban myth (lie)
However there is no doubt that the Tory Party did lie through it's teeth about everything, but that has nothing to do with a "leavers" or "Remainers" factions among the public, as it was before the time either public factions came into being en masse.
