In case you can't read it.
Football stadium in France expecting to do thousands of jabs, had crowds roll up expecting jabs. Fully stocked, closed at lunch, Turning people away in their droves because "AZ was under review". Actually it wasn't, it had already been reviewed and found safe but, well we know the story.
A few idiots wanted to play investigative mathematicians, after the real experts already had.

and we have locked down? :D :D :D Have you been outside your house?
My shop is closed most of the last 12 months.
Schools are closed half of the year.
I did not go to hospital/my GP surgery/eye clinic/my dentist for the whole year.
The main activity at the top of Southend High Street is a queue of Deliveroos.
you can see the effect on government borrowing figures.

we won't and we can't. We need their Pfizer.
We don't produce enough AZ here to meet our own need.
Pfizer makes up half of our requirement until the end of the year.
To suggest that the EU hates our success shows that we have a chip on our shoulder.
Perhaps you could offer an explanation for all their behaviours. EU, France, Merkel, Macron, Von Leyen???
I agree their motives are unclear but their actions and comments certainly aren't.

Of course EU hasn't got anything to do with it.
If all you EU champions opened your eyes and actually admitted truth, we might actually get somewhere on here. Fact of the matter is like all organisations and people they are never fully good or fully bad. The EU has through its terrible procurement regime, after taking responsibility for all procurement for entire EU, its slow and complicated review system and its general poor organisation delayed vaccine roll out accross EU by at least 3 months. They have made a mess of it. Fact. It happens, we all make mistakes. The secret is to recognise the fact, change and move on. Not ignore the faults, blame others and dig yourself deeper in.
Its just so blatant, folk defending EU, passing blame to individual countries, or UK or AZ themselves and then even the data really should take a look at themselves. Susan made a great contribution yesterday. What happens on here. She was wrong.
Its exactly the attitude that caused Brexit and guaranteed it. Folk unwilling to recognise when EU was wrong.
The only person on here who can never admit he was wrong is you.
"Its just so blatant, folk defending EU, passing blame to individual countries, or UK or AZ themselves and then even the data really should take a look at themselves."

The EU doesn't Govern the member states and has stated the vaccine is safe . and your idea of looking at ourselves is something you clearly never do.

"Susan made a great contribution yesterday. What happens on here. She was wrong."

Agreed

"Its exactly the attitude that caused Brexit and guaranteed it. Folk unwilling to recognise when EU was wrong."

Actually it was a reaction to austerity that the Leave Campaign falsely blamed on the EU and the rest was lies and false promises from them as like yourself, people were clueless as to the actual limits to the power the EU has
Tellingly as you just demonstrated, you still are.

They should have followed official EU advice that the vaccine is safe shouldn't they not the local guff?

they have supply problem like we do here.
AZ delivered something like 40% of projection.
The reason? UK buys most of the entire UK output, 2 million doses a week.
If the UK production were shared, we'd get half and they get half, our immunisation would be reduced by a third in the last 3 months.
In the meantime, EU sold us 11 million doses of Pfizer.
So stop crowing.

Totally agreed. Well said that man. Ask Danidl why they didn't.

They over ruled the EU as countries do, and are doing, whenever they feel like.Over everything, then pass blame to each other.
Sort of rendering EMA and EU utterly pointless.?? Get my drift.

Just for interest, good news.
Rotherham Borough, population 250,000, has 35 in hospital with covid. None in intensive care. Vaccinated 103,000.
First time for 8 months nobody in intensive care. (with covid)

I knew from your absence lately you agreed with me and JHC over vaccine/EU countries roll out.
Well said.

Are you insane? They have 15 million doses of vaccine they won’t use despite the EMA and WHO telling them it’s safe and effective. How can you possibly say there is a supply problem?

To put things into perspective
Agreed, France has done a quarter that of UK.
Yet,folk on here knock the mechanisms, JCVI, Mhra and government of UK over vaccines. (to be fair not necessarily you OG)
I think I suggested EU on average were 3 months behind UK. That's not far off.

It makes a very welcome change to see the UK towards the top of a Covid related list that people want to be the top of. For much of the pandemic we have been up towards the top of lists that no one wanted to be the top of.
Somewhat ironic to see China and Russia - with their own vaccines - somewhat further down the list.

Speaking of the Dentist, when we can eventually book appointments are they
going to ask if you have had your vaccinations before letting you book?

I suspect most citizens disappear toot sweat when approached by anything looking official!
They are likely more wary of the government than the pandemic, and in areas such as Siberia will be lucky if they have even heard of it!
