They can't expect to be "a little bit Royal".
why not? What is the probability that Harry is going to inherit the Firm?

He lives in the right place to fix the leadership:

Abraham Lincoln (1865), James A. Garfield (1881), William McKinley (1901), and John F. Kennedy (1963)

I think a little bit Royal is part of problem. I do see a role for Royal institution, the Queen might offer the faintest glimmer of control over recalcitrant PMs /Governments and she is something for all those Chinese to photograph near the Palace. But beyond immediate family? Sarah Ferguson? Costing us a fortune.. And don't mention the child abuser. He should have permanent residence in the Tower.

As a Republican, .(. not militant, but a believer in the equality of a Republic) , I have no truck with Royalty, ..but that's your bag. If his Brother is potentially King, and currently a Prince, then he is also a Prince and a Duke. So no taking that away.... I actually consider the loss of citizenship by Ms Begum more serious, but let him keep his title.
Intriguing.. which part(s) are disagreeable?

It's a difficult situation, I saw it more as criticising Johnsons actions, Danidl read it as criticising Johnson.

How does one criticise someone's actions without it being a criticism of them?

Difficult at the best of times, and with someone widely known to be as mendacious and duplicitous as Johnson, probably impossible.
.
Criticise the behaviour not the child. Difficult if you are planning on caning somebody.

It's time that some members of the Firm be allowed to work for a living like some other royal families.

Not so, I saw that article as excellent and wasn't in any way commenting on the rest of the Guardian's output. I would have commented identically if the article was in the Mail, the Telegraph or by some miracle in the Express.

In attacking it being in the Guardian you are guilty of shooting the messenger.
.
that's not new is it?

Different situation with policy though, that's a matter of opinion rather than definitively right or wrong.

I wouldn't be planning on caning anybody, though I might just make an exception with Boris Johnson.

Indeed, the silliest thing they could do now is respond.

It's a pity that Harry and Meghan were allowed to keep any royal title, they should have just become Mr and Mrs Windsor and not able to do the extent of damage they are doing now.

My old headmaster never had much of a problem using the cane...his favourite was three strokes on both hands, and at that point if you didn't look miserable you got three on your behind as well!
Happy Days
"Our conversation usually began like this
"What have you taken to bit to see how it works this time?"
Sometimes I asked for other shows of interest to be taken into account as well.
I found that if that was convincing the strokes to my backside were at least postponed till next time. :D

Hancock strikes a sympathetic response from local businesses
Matt Hancock secures £90m PPE contract with firm listed in Chinese hotel room

James Woodford
"“Firms in my constituency have taken a big hit as a result of this betrayal. They invested heavily to develop and manufacture PPE here in the UK, only to be told at the last minute they would not be successful”

"Nothing says 'reliable supplier' like an office that's rented by the night. "

The Uk Government replacement for the Erasmus scheme
The "free tuition" in the EU Erasmus programis a kind of misnomer. The idea is reciprocal.. We take your student and charge them nothing, We send you one and you don't charge them. The objective is cultural diversity and international partnerships.
