Incidentally I have just read that Israel is now giving second doses on 21 day basis
" Dr Ash now claims the vaccine didn't work as well after the first jab, despite the country pressing ahead with the recommended strategy of two doses within three weeks.
The World Health Organization and Pfizer and BioNTech, which made the vaccine, refused to give their blessing to Britain's plan to space the two doses of of the jab by more than a month.
We need to be all over this. Disease prevention is secondary right now, stopping the onset of disease complications is the number one priority. We must be watching to see if the vaccine is doing that job.

Is there a special government (tory?) training camp? See a pothole and charge straight into it. Like some sort of SAS training course.

Johnson's 'levelling up' council criticised as most members based in London
Of 30 Build Back Better Council members, 22 are in London, but none are from Wales or Northern Ireland

Boris's father had his second injection on time.
While now I've entered my 85th year still with no appointment let alone a first jab, despite chasing them, I've just this moment learnt my 71 year old window cleaner has already had his first vaccine jab.

Like Boris' father, yet another example of Zlatan's "UK doing well with vaccination".

This country is a ******* shambles.

This latest survey appears to show Covid cases may have stopped falling and could be leveling off or even a slight rise, what do people think?
Covid cases may have stopped falling, major English survey shows | Coronavirus | The Guardian
Yep, I saw that in FT... Worrying. Predicting numbers to rise. Explanation was folk mixed at Xmas, had a few days rest and started mixing again..

I, d be phoning them flecc. Wife worked in NHS for a while, she reckons if older folk don't see doctor or nurse etc for a while they presume you are dead!!!
Phone up and pester. Put OG on it, he's pretty good at moaning..
Seriously, phone them flecc. It's not on.
Actually, don't phone, email your surgery manager and include your MP in address list. That normally provokes a response.
You do have a right for your vaccine.

Just (5 minutes ago) had my first jab (frontline staff etc). Its ironic, I'm sitting in a fairly crowded waiting area of a hospital that's been in special measures for its poor hygiene (and MRSI) more times than I can remember for the 15 minutes or so they wait to see if one develop anaphylaxis. Vaccine or not I've a hunch 2021 will be more bumpy than 2020

If true, that’s disgusting.
No 10 defends Stanley Johnson receiving two coronavirus vaccines while others don't

Downing Street has defended Boris Johnson's father receiving two coronavirus vaccines - insisting the move was made before a change in policy.

The prime minister’s press secretary Allegra Stratton said: “This is a matter for the prime minister’s father.

“It’s not something I’ve spoken to Stanley Johnson about. By way of explanation in the early days of the vaccination programme it was the case that GPs were doing two jabs, a first one followed a few weeks later by a second one.

“It appears that Stanley Johnson was one of those people who was in that first wave. It’s been true of a number of individuals around the country and Stanley Johnson appears to be one of them.”

Last week Johnson spoke of his second dose during an interview with Good Morning Britain.

Nothing to see here move along :D

Already done, first emailed my doctor and after a week that ignored and no acknowledgment. Then phoned and told reception that and asked them to chase it up. Then later phoned and they told me obviously false story that vaccine had run out. It hadn't. They did say they'd phone me with an appointment within two days and haven't.

But it's not just that surgery at fault, the others around here all seem to be doing their own thing with advance appointments for younger ages, and nothing to do with the minority of no shows before anyone trots that government excuse out yet again. They cannot possibly know how many no shows days in advance when making these appointments, can they?

And all these jabs are being done at the same large health centre set up for it.

So having done the chasing three times, I'm now going to leave it completely and let them with their incompetence dig an ever deeper hole for themselves.

Further to that he stated he had the first injection on 18th December and his second on Jan 11th.
We had ours on the 7th Jan
1 Jan 2021 — The UK will now leave a 12-week gap between both parts of the Covid vaccination, rather than 21 days.

Fascinating....why did he get the second injection?

The second jab has seen arbitrary in lots of places. Some of Daughter's colleagues who had vaccine same day as her have been called for second. She hasn't..
Might be nepotism (if that's the word) with Johnson might be coincidence. Doesn't look good either way.

Why are we vaccinating French citizens?

Hasn't he gone yet? o_O

Is Greece demanding full vaccination for visitors from the UK?

I agree and we could certainly do without this sort of issue at a time like this, what did you make of Hunt? he seemed to have the right idea to me.

Yes, I'd also already spotted that anomaly, showing that it was a fiddled injection as a favour for him.

He should not have had that second dose. He’s taken someone else’s first vaccination, and if the government’s policy is to be believed, he has left another person vulnerable to serious Covid complications by doing so.

This stinks, I hate it and it’s another example of the absence of leadership.
