Just found out about someone who will be travelling a long way from Tier 3 (England) to Wales just before 28/12/2020 when new Wales rules apply.

For a holiday.

They know that they should not be travelling from Tier 3 for a holiday at all under English rules. They know they should not be travelling from Tier 3 to Wales under Welsh rules. They know that in the first lockdown and in the fire-break lockdown, police were out stopping people and sending them back.

They simply assume no-one will notice.

And couldn’t give a monkey’s about carrying Covid-19 with them. Nor are they concerned about picking it up.
Sounds about right for a typical U.K. resident. We’re not fifth in the World Coronavirus Death League for nothing you know. A lot of not giving a toss has gone into achieving that.

That makes sense. A few years to go before I’m eligible for the winter fuel allowance. It will most likely be means tested, along with the state pension by then.
The first offer you'll receive when you reach that age is ' Have you sorted out your funeral arrangements yet ? if not we can help' Monthly instalments with British Gas for peace of mind and a good send off :)

Do they give you a free Michael Parkinson Parker Pen? If so, I’m signing up without hesitation.

Well if the Brits and Germans could play football in 1914... A truce can be arranged.
As I understand, that was the troops on the ground.

The Johnson/VDL/Barnier lot are currently the General Melchett, Baron Manfred von Richthofen and Field Marshal Douglas Haig equivalents. Who did everything to destroy the truce.

Which idiots thought brexit was a good idea? Which idiots did not ensure we are ready for no-deal - even as a contingency? Is there an oversupply of idiots in Westminster or are they the same ones?

Britain not ready for no deal, says Brexit select committee

Even the USA is calling Johnson weak...

Johnson's had a torrid time since entering Downing Street. Amazingly, he's thus far not been affected too badly in opinion polls.

However, there are four years left for the consequences of his actions, inactions and poor party management to catch up with him before the next scheduled general election. And if both Christmas and Brexit are catastrophic disasters, there is a good chance his party might decide Johnson isn't the man they want to fight that vote in 2024.

I wonder if they should change "2024" to "2021"?

Allow me to correct this headline. Rupert Murdoch received the vaccine today, one day after
@FoxNews
, which he owns, cynically spread dangerous vaccine misinformation that may lead to people dying
Quite:

Tucker Carlson claims vaccine campaign 'feels false, because it is'
Fox News' Tucker Carlson defied scientific consensus to sow doubt about Covid-19 vaccine efforts. In large clinical trials, the vaccine has been determined safe and effective.

I see the BBC is treating us all to Mrs Brown’s Boys on Christmas Day. If ever there was a crock of shite, this is it. I wish I could cancel my license fee and not watch the BBC.

If you want to see a heartwarming, feel good Christmas film as an alternative, try this. Get a copy of Jaws and watch it backwards. It will reveal the story of a shark which give arms and legs to cripples. Much better than Mrs Brown’s Boys.

I detest MBB.

A wonderful ham (-ming it up) sandwich:

BBCS (Blankety Blank Christams Special)
CTM (Call The Midwife)
EE ('stenders)
TVoD (The Vicar of Dibley)

CTM isn't all bad but they usually go horribly sentimental
