Just heard that Boris has caved in over Northern Ireland there will be a border, and the vegetables in the House of Commons won’t vote to break the law
Tried to make sense of it... What I gather is that direct distribution to say Boots, Marks and Spencer , Sainsbury's , Tesco shops in NI from distribution warehouses in Manchester will not be stopped or otherwise. Likewise stuff going to Moy Valley Chicken processing at Portadown , from Lincoln for making nuggets ,will be expedited .. provided it is intended for consumption in NI or mainland UK. The glitch is where that chicken originated. Now there is presumably not going to be any restriction on me going up to the Sprucefield Sainsbury's and getting my Quality St chocs and a bag of cooked chicken bits ,and bring them down to Dundalk.

I am more worried about sending my bikes to NI.
Although I assemble them in Southend-On-Sea, I may have to supply a certificate of origin with the bikes. What would I put on the certificate?

Let's be fair now, it's hardly reasonable to expect a Banquet of a Trade deal from a Government that thinks a Scotch Egg is substantial meal now is it? :D

Nor agreement. If you want a panto clown and the" yes you are no I ain't" , ..look in a mirror.
Not looking for a pantomime clown, I have you, the little IRA Leprechaun. Wonder how you feel about those bombs purposely placed in cast iron litter bins on busy high streets with intent to kill members of the public just going about their daily routine? Do you condemn those sorts of actions by the IRA?

We will never be invaded by aliens from another planet, nor will we ever visit any.

The number and extent of mass extinctions over time means we will have been wiped out long before such galactic travel is achieved.

No you do not, it`s `as you were`
Anyway it`s now a premium `bicycle` you`re selling (Origin: U.K.) not a bag full of cheap and nasty chinese tat...... "cough"! Right!

The controversial clauses were written in to the Internal Market Bill to give the UK a power of last resort in case the EU took advantage of the Joint Committee process and disrupted inter-UK trade.
The UK was concerned the EU would threaten to blockade the movement of food and other goods within the UK’s internal market.

A UK Government source “Maroš Šefčovič and his team were constructive and pragmatic. We are pleased that we have reached agreement in principle on a package to apply in all circumstances that will protect Northern Ireland’s place in the U.K’s customs territory, uphold the peace process and give certainty to people and businesses in Northern Ireland”

We'll certainly be visiting other planets in the future flecc, it could be said we already have if you include the moon.
As for alien beings who knows, based on mathematics there most certainly is other life forms beyond our solar system...why should we think we alone are the only one's here.
Recent examination of meteoric fragments have shown evidence of fossilised organic material, the first time anything of that nature has ever been discovered. Are we alone ? of course not, still I agree I can't see a visit from little green men anytime soon.

We haven't even achieved any Space travel yet Ross.

The moon isn't remotely a planet, it's still the earth and tightly tied to it so going there is like popping into the back yard. Even going to Mars won't be Space travel, it's just travel within the also gravitationally locked together Solar system.

Only travel from our solar system to other solar systems with planets will truly be travel in Space.

Right.. this is beyond tiresome. When the recent bout of troubles started in 1969, I was a young man, doing the equivalent of your A levels. I made a decision for Peace. , As university student, we built an International centre for Peace and Reconciliation ..I worked in ,on and then managed workcamps in that centre Then as a professional educator, my college provided an alternative path away from the nilhilism which would have led the local youths into being cannon fodde for the IRA. My interest has always been Peaceful reconciliation of differences. So will you bloody well shut up!.

Maybe we'll have to await development of warp drive? Which will happen in 2063.

No.

Your comments regarding Britannia Royal Naval College and Royal Military Academy Sandhurst being terrorist training centres drew my attention. Your past virtu signalling activity doesn’t really mean anything.

I’ve worked alongside people from both of the above institutions and they are anything but terrorists.

Interesting that you still won’t condemn the IRA’s bombing of public places. Just where do you stand on this? Do you condemn or condone the IRA? It’s a simple question.

I’m comfortable with the idea.

Why won’t you condemn IRA’s bombing of public spaces? Bombs placed after a calculation had been made to maximise death and injury to the public, of all ages, simply going about their business. It’s a straightforward question, do you condemn or support the IRA’s actions?

You have branded all Royal Naval and British Army officers as terrorists. Now display moral courage and state your position on the IRA, and stop side stepping.
