Bit like Brexit, it seems to stem from Cameron getting cosy with Huawei and interwining roles for mates with Huawei UK

December - David Cameron defends Huawei investment
Following American senators once again insisting that Huawei equipment posed a security risk, David Cameron defended the earlier UK-Huawei £1.3 billion deal. He said that Britain had a "proper system in the UK for examining whether investments in the UK are pro-competitive and whether they're in the national interest".

the article in your link is quite comprehensive.
Huawei gives access to source code to their customers, enabling them to add their own security layer, a far cry from the practice of their competitors. To me, that's enlightened policy, a bit like open source software.
It seems to me that the USA feels threatened by Huawei. Maybe the real reason is if we buy Huawei kits, we can stop the Americans spying on us at the same time we stop the Chinese.

'Reaction score'. Huh? You seen this? Before these stupid changes there was a clear number of 'likes/positive' and 'not liked/negative' by your name. Now we have a 'reaction score' with no explanation.

Who runs this list?

Dumb changes.
Pedelecs have posted this explanation:

REACTIONS

Xenforo 2.1 has introduced its own reaction system. We will hopefully be moving back to the one that was working yesterday, I'm just waiting for an update from the developer later today.

I know there are still results to come in, but what strikes me is how badly Labour are doing. You would have expected them to be doing a lot better in the face of such an incompetent, divided and untrusted party as the Conservatives. Obviously this does not always transfer to a GE but I would imagine their will be some worried faces at party HQ. The Conservatives, while doing badly don't seem as bad as they expected

My post explains why. The site host changed the system for some reason.
.
You didnt explain why flecc. I, m asking what is the point of, in theory grown up people, having silly faces to stick on things. My grandson uses a star system at school.. He is 5.

Perhaps its because labour is in complete disarray and split. Have stupid economic and defence policies, have incompetent mps led by a useless (old) toff pretending to be a working class marxist with basically corrupt methods of operating. And then there is Diane Abbott. Besides all that I cant think why labour have done poorly.
Oh, and their manifestos are written in red crayon at playtime which doesnt help.
Oh, and there is the terrorist, IRA, anti semitism thing that isnt a great vote winner either.
They really should do well come the next GE..Especially if party can decide wether it wants to leave EU or not.
It is staggering they havent done better.
It doesnt help JC is thick and he has demonstrated fact quite frequently.

Sad is not the same as not liking. I am not sad I simply think the response is ill-thought-out or plain wrong.

Why can't we have a rational response? - which is what the 'don't like' gave you.

Bad day for the forum.

You really do have a weird mind. You posted Why? in response to my posting that the site had the reactions system changed for them.

My post explained the site host had changed it, which answered your question.

If you wanted to ask why reactions were used at all, you should have asked that question.

I think he's talking about the reactions you can give to a post.

Let me see if I can post a face here though:

Here is one:  (dark glasses face - looks fine before I press post reply)

Or even 'don't agree'. There used to be that choice too right?
