Fair post and actuslly quite clever. Perhaps you have found a good compromise. Both leaving and remaining are seriously flawed.???
I see leaving having lesser of 2 evils and you remaining...
Out of our hands now... Until ref2 or GE...
I, m out now. Have a good day.
Only leaving is seriously flawed, there is nothing to be gained by doing so except to make the Rees Moggs of this world richer, and if it happens it will lead to hardship and trouble in the streets.

I’m the forum constable and I may find it necessary to take OG into custody for bickering. He’s on thin ice.
Not another one, the last put himself on the Naughty step so he can't hear any criticism, but there's still room for "See no Evil and speak no Evil" which post are you applying for? :D

Slight correction, the SNP is also against Brexit and you get a lot of peeps from it.
Isn't it a curious thing that the DUP can affect events when they don't even represent the Majority view on Brexit from a backwater colony of 1.871 Millions and a Party representing a complete nation called Scotland of 5.425 Millions is ignored?

I think the problem starts in the disconnection between the local population and the need of a functioning single market spread over 28 member states.
Take the issue of maximum power for vacuum cleaners as an example.
The EU imposes a maximum of power (800W) and noise level (80dB).
The anti-EU faction jumps immediately upon it and claim EU rules over us.
Same with energy saving light bulbs.
The reality is it's a product standard that we ought to have any way.
If the majority wants the energy saving light bulbs, then it should be made into EU law rather than 28 slightly different pieces of legislation.
Well,on an extremely domestic level,i switched like no doubt everyone else here from a 2.5kw to 800w vacuum with no discernible change in suction power due to better design. Multiplied by 20 million households its a substantial cut in emissions. In a corporate funded, backhanding, gravy train westminster i dont think any of these changes would happen

It’s looking likely that TM will be shelling out even more money to the DUP in return for supporting her deal. Not too long ago, I’m sure she said there wasn’t a magic money tree. Was she lying?

Both options, Leave or Stay are a step into the unknown. I am saying that you can't predict what will happen if we leave, you can guess but that is all. Your forecast is no more certain than any other prediction.
My guess is that we can maintain a friendly and peaceful relationship with Europe whilst selling to the countries which want our goods and services. Similarly, we can buy goods from those countries which offer something appealing to us. That has happened since the beginning of time and it will continue with or without the EU, history is on our side.

The EU stance seems to indicate that friendship, cooperation and trade will be stamped out, extinguished and not be allowed to flourish unless we surrender increasing amounts of our independence to this faceless system which no one seems to identify with. It does not have to be like that, we can be friends with the EU after Brexit. Of course, if another EU nation repays our friendship and help with acts of open hostility and aggression in the form of an invasion (as seems to be prophesised by the IN Campaign), we have our Trident missile system with which to defend ourselves.
Its not all,or even mainly, politics. Its economic integration. This us vs them, the eu is bullying us bs is the kind of propaganda farage would like you to believe. And the premisr that all everything are equal educated guesses is the basis of fake news. Spreading doubt. All guesses are not equal. I do some consultancy work for a european research organisation that will withdraw in the event ofa hard brexit. And take several scholarships and a number of jobs with it. As well as all the value, and synergy, of future research. For practical, economic reasons. Not hostile political ones. That is a fact. Not s tjreat or a political act.

As is Plaid Cymru. For example:

‘But this Withdrawal Agreement, will be equally catastrophic. Plaid Cymru will never support a Withdrawal Agreement that takes Wales out of the Single Market and Customs Union, harming Welsh businesses, workers and our agricultural sector.’

The wattage of vacuum cleaners had become a sales claim way beyond meaning. The companies were encouraged, by competitive forces, to produce cleaners with ever increasing wattages.

I am minded also of things like stick blenders which also keep increasing their headline wattages. But at the same time they tell you not to use them for more than ten seconds (or something similarly restrictive). I am not at all convinced that an 800W model can, in reality, deliver 33% more blending power than a 600w model.

But back to the substance. Having listened to many of the contributions in the HoC ,my view is that the Backstop is irrelevant, misdirection and a smokescreen. The figures I presented of 30,30,30,10 are still in my opinion broadly correct.
There will be no additional guarantees from the EU. What you have is what you get. .
Unless the HoC agree to the WA by next week, an EU extension is unlikely.
Will that be enough to have pragmatism trump principle?
