had my first ride for a few weeks today. Found that my front brake ( clarkes exo skeleton ) was virtually useless. Lever had to be fully pulled in to get any sort of effect and then not much. It was working fine last time I used it and has been stored in dry garage. No signs of any oil leakage. I assume that it will need bleeding, but a bit puzzled as to why it's lost pressure. Has just been stored in normal upright position. Is it difficult to bleed it?

thanks gray

I know you said it was working fine, but check how much material is left on the pads. The cheaper brake sets, including mine, tend to have excessive lever travel as the pads wear.

You could try leaving it for a few days with the lever pulled in to the handlebars with an elastic band or similar, you may get lucky and the air drift to the top but it sounds worse than that.
