Hi everyone, wow it’s been lively on here since I last looked! Just thought I’d update you all. Bobbed into my local Bosch-motored bike dealer. Described the problem: ‘impossible’ he said. Mentioned the theory of an incorrect operating-system update: also impossible!
Plugged it into his computer, did another update, handed it back after a few seconds. Tried it: works perfectly!
What was that all about?! Guess we’ll never know.
So all good.
