Im 56 with some health issues(Asthma, vascular, Achilles tendonitis) and I couldnt do a usual 30-40mile stint, or a 75miler. I would be utterly done in. The occasional day out of about 20miles return trip is about my limit, and i only use turbo on Bosch performance CX 85nm

So you must be doing better than me lol :D
Do what you can my friend, and don't stop until you can't do it anymore.

I'm intermediate in age, just lost quite a lot of the 'top end' of cardiovascular ability to the extent that uphill without help is not fun to the point of intolerable.

But with assistance at low human power I can ride from dawn to dusk, day after day without limit.

I'm going on towards 70 and my legs are no way as strong as they were. Having experimented and swapped different bikes, I have totally ruled out anything with a torque sensor because they do require some input from the rider. (I reckon my comfortable sustainable input is only about 30-40W) I do find my torque sensor TSDZ2 tolerable only because I have an additional throttle. I think others on the forum have found the same with many fitting custom software which in some cases converts their bike to cadence sensor. I do like to pedal and it keeps me warm. I have a hub motor (65nm) that I find very adequate at say up to 10% grade but I do have to get down and walk bike (with throttle walk assist) for the occasional 15% or greater climbs. (I weigh about 90Kg)

I think I'm in the 60W ballpark for continuous output, and maybe 100W for a few minutes at a time. Bring back youth!
