Does anyone make a Bosch parallel cable. I would like to take 2 Bosch 400ma 36v and run them together for maximum distance. I'm going to do this with a Haibike Allmtn Pro.

The way Bosch batteries plug in it will be much easier to swap out. Maybe the OP wants a higher C rating and less sag?

400 vs 800 @36v, who can resist. RV's, Big Trucks, airplanes, solar systems double down on their batteries. You can run the stock Bosch battery and a like aftermarket (cheaper battery) as a parallel. You just have to have the same voltage. I can't believe it hasn't been done yet. Come on tech companies what are you waiting for. Just think in Turbo mode you can do a good 40 to 50 miles without stopping.

Is your body capable of that? I know mine's not!

Sorry but it seems like a pointless exercise to me. Other than the ability to not stop (for under 30 seconds to change the batteries) I really can't see what this would achieve.

I've seen it done before on the German Pedelecs forum with the early Bosch system. You can't get a cable for it because it isn't just a case of joining them in parallel. The two batteries have to be charged separately and can only be connected together when they're at the same voltage, which would normally be when they're both fully charged.

What you need to do is find the cable that carries the two main battery wires from the battery to the motor. Cut it and put a female connector on the battery side and a male one on the motor side. make a harness with a single female to two males in parallel (M lead). When you connect you now have the option to plug in one or two batteries, but be careful because when you connect the first battery, the second male connector becomes live, so it's best to keep a blank connector on it when not connected to a battery. For the second battery, you don't want a Bosch one. Any Chinese Lithium-ion 36v will work. It'll be cheaper and easier to connect. If you already have a Second Bosch one, it's more complicated because there is some communication between the motor and controller to switch it on.

I just did 20 miles in the High Desert Mountains all using the Turbo mode. Came back with 2 bar's on the battery. I could have done another 20 if I had the battery power. Is the Bosch 500mla battery out for the general public yet? If so where?
