Hello,

I need some advice in relation to electrifying my bike.
I have a boardman team hybrid bike i would like to convert it to an electric bike. I will be passing it to my son who will use it for food delivery.
I will be getting a swytch kit would this be suitable, my bike has a carbon fork?

You'd probably be better off with a rear hub conversion, especially with a carbon fork. Swytch are neat and handy, but somewhat overpriced (even at their standard 50% off).

Not sure on that; one of the experts will probably chip in with advice.
Or ask woosh (http://wooshbikes.co.uk/), they do good value kits and offer good advice,
they don't want to sell you something wrong just for the sale.
Short on stock at the moment though.

A Swytch kit would spoil the handling and you might have problems with your carbon forks. I would give more advice if you showed us your bike.

I converted one of those a few years ago. You want a rear cassette motor kit with a battery mounted on the downtube. Which motor and battery to get depends on the mass of the rider and how far he wants to go between charges. If you want to make it into a workhorse, the Woosh 48v kit would be good, though a cheaper donor bike would be better for that. Everything that's good about the Boardman becomes insignificant when you fit a heavy and powerful motor. For leisure riding, something like a Q100C with a 5Ah bottle battery would keep the bikes lightweight characteristics.
